Celebrating our Poets

On Thursday, the students in The Lily Pad shared their poems with families and friends.  The children worked really hard crafting interesting and creative poems.  Thank you to all who attended and who brought donations for our Poetry Tea.  We appreciate your support!

Tessellations

Tessellation (or Tiling) is when you cover a surface with a pattern of flat shapes so that there are no overlaps or gaps.
After viewing the work of M.C. Escher,

students created their own shape to tessellate.

Just a reminder that schools will be closed for Winter Break and all reopen on January 6.  All of us in the Lily Pad are wishing you a happy and healthy holiday and new year!
