After many technical difficulties we were finally able to find a way to include the Public Service Announcement the Lily Pad production team put together for safety on the playground. Click on the link below to access the video. Enjoy!
Data Analysis
We have been spending a few math periods a week working on creating and interpreting graphs and data. Students worked with their partners to display information about "Places our class likes to..." They analyzed places students like to read, visit, relax, do homework, etc. The information was displayed and students made mathematical statements about the graphs and data.
Persuasive Writing
Today was our last in-class time for students to work on their persuasive writing text. Students have worked hard planning their writing, crafting various leads, making sure they use facts to support their opinions, and have a good clincher at the end. Many students have not quite finished their work during class time. Those students brought their writing home and it is due back in class by Friday. We hope to have a time next week for students to share their writing with their classmates. I was impressed by the passion in the students' writing. Nice work Lily Pad!

Student groups are working on preparing posters and presentations about various aspects of the Ho-Chungra people as they lived hundreds of years ago. These cooperative groups are working hard on their presentations and we hope you can join us to celebrate the fruits of their labor! Ms. Miller sent home a notice on Monday about this celebration.
