Persuasive Essays

The students finished their persuasive essays and presented them in class today.  Everyone worked really hard on these and they turned out fantastic!  Opinions were backed up by solid arguments.  Many students used tools that persuasive writers use when trying to convince their reader to agree with their own position.

Our next writing unit will be a poetry unit.  We will begin our writing by doing cinquain poems and haikus.

Badger Exam Update
So, many of you may have heard in the news that there is another glitch with the Badger Exam.  This has changed our testing schedule.  We now are NOT testing the week after break.  Here are our updated times:
Monday, 4/13 11:55
Tuesday, 4/15 8:00
Thursday, 4/16 8:00
Tuesday, 4/21 8:00
Tuesday, 4/28 8:00
Wednesday, 4/29 8:00

I will update the google doc with these times AFTER spring break.
