Country Gallery Walk
We had a fun and successful gallery walk! The students worked hard and were very proud to share their work. We had a great turnout of families. Here are a few photos sharing our experience.

Valentine's Day
On Friday, February 12 we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. It is a tradition in the third grade at Marquette to celebrate with non-traditional Valentine’s Party foods (ie: trying to limit the sugar.) The students brainstormed a list of red, white and pink foods to bring for our celebration. Here is the list our students created:
- fruits: sliced apples, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, watermelon, ruby red grapefruit, pomegranate, red pears
- fruit salad, smoothies, fruit kabobs
- beverages: fruit juice, punch, milk, strawberry milk
- veggies: tomatoes, red peppers, cauliflower, radishes, beets, red or purple carrots
- jello, yogurt
- mini bagels with plain or strawberry cream cheese
- string cheese or heart shaped cheese
- use your own creativity.
Thank you in advance for helping us limit the sugar rush.
Other information and requests:
- Students are asked to bring a Valentine for everyone, if they choose to give out cards.
- We will play a series of games that are similar to the Minute to Win games so if you are interested in coming in to help just let me know!
New Student Teachers
We have two new student teachers joining us for second semester! They each sent a letter home with your child. Here is a copy of each of their letters in case you missed it!
