Pancakes and Pajamas

Our Time with Rena

The students have had fun working with Rena.  She spends Wednesday mornings teaching us tools for focusing and calming down our high energy levels. Below, students had fun with a "fishing game".  The students work hard and have fun with Rena's activities.

Open House

We had an AMAZING turnout at our open house.  Thank you to all the families who carved time out of their evening to join us.  The students had fun showing off their work and their classroom.  We also had opportunity for families to signup for Fall Conferences.  If you did not sign up or if November 9th does not work for you, please let me know and we can set up a different time for a conference.

Pancakes, Pajamas and Stuffies

There is no better way to celebrate the end of our first month together than with pancakes, pajamas and stuffies.  The kids loved their day and acted responsibly with their stuffies.  We all enjoyed meeting our "guests" and hearing the story of each friend.

Thank you so much for all the parent help, support and donations.  We could not have had this event without you!  What an amazing family community we have!

Next week we will officially begin reading groups.  Students will meet regularly with me reading literature that is at their "Just Right Level".  We also began our personal narrative writing unit.  Students are writing small moment stories about people, places or things that are important to them.  I am happy to report that we have very enthusiastic writers! We will do a lot of writing this year.  I am excited to see how each child will grow as writers.
