Friday was a big day in the Lily Pad. Students were divided into 7 groups of 3 to 4 students and sent out to explore and adventure in Madison. Each group had a different an unique adventure. One group started at the City-County building, one at the State Capitol, Overture Center, Babcock Hall, Chamberlain Hall, Camp Randall, and the Kohl Center. We could not have asked for a better day for our experience outside of the classroom.
We patiently waited for the bus and boarded it with much enthusiasm.

Even our bus driver was all smiles!

As we approached the square, groups deboarded the bus with wishes of good luck! The groups each had their own unique adventure and we all met back at the UW Memorial Union to share in a treat of Babcock Hall Ice Cream (YUMMY!) Below are a few photos from some of the adventures. More will be shared with you at the end of the month.

| Favorite Place on Campus!! |
On Monday we shared our favorite parts of the trip and today we created an art project from our experience. Students created skylines based on the buildings they saw and the places they visited. Here is a sampling of their work.
We also took a trip to Olbrich Gardens. Students had small group sessions that focused on various concepts about plants such as adaptations, seeds, protection, etc. Students were also able to tour the conservatory. What a beautiful gem!
