The Invention Convention

Monday was full of excitement, creativity, enthusiasm and amazing inventions.  The third graders entered the building buzzing about their inventions.  We were amazed at the uniqueness of each invention and the time and energy spent creating them.  Thank you families for all your help and support with this project. The kids seemed excited to share their inventions with each other.

Our class and Ms. Henze's class also headed to Yahara Park to pull invasive plants and plant native plants.  Ed Jepsen (a former Lapham/Marquette parent) worked with the city to get the tools and plants that we used.  We pulled garlic mustard, wild parsley and other various weeds and planted some blue phlox in the park.  The kids worked really hard and had a lot of fun.  Yay for Earth Day in May!

We are 2 weeks away from our play.  This week, information will be coming home about the costumes your child will need.  SIMPLE is the key word for this...SIMPLE
