Who Said Cleaning Can't be Fun?

We spent part of Friday and Monday cleaning and organizing the room, getting it ready for summer school.  Kids took all of their valued possessions home with them, cleaned out lockers (some still contained winter items!) and organized the reading corner.
And the best part....cleaning the desks with shaving cream!

On Monday, we dodged the rain drops and were able to have field day at Yahara Place Park.  The day turned out to be a bit windy (just ask Gryphon's parents who tried to canoe over to visit us) but beautiful.  We spent the day doing some organized games, free play, lunch and an ice cream treat supplied by one of the parents.

Finally, on are last and final day as a classroom community, we shared food, awards and shirts.
Last week, students had a homework assignment to think of 3 adjectives to describe each of their classmates.  I took all these words, put them into wordle, printed them onto t-shirt transfer forms and viola....a t-shirt was made for all!
The finished products!

Here we are!
I wish you all a beautiful summer full of fun, adventure, relaxation and READING!  I will miss each and everyone of you children and I am grateful for all the family support!  Here's to the finish of a fantastic year of learning and fun!

If you find yourself at the zoo, don't forget to stop by and say hi! Also, feel free to email me.  I promise to email you back!

Peace,
Ms. Mack
