The World's Biggest Sundae!

Friday was the perfect day for our trip to the Henry Vilas Zoo and then over to my house for the World's Biggest Sundae.  However, hundreds of other school children agreed that the day was perfect and they all headed to the zoo, too!  Lots of buses and kids running around looking at the exhibits.

After running around the zoo, we headed across the street and were greeted by my husband Dave and the dogs!  We ate lunch quickly so we could get to the main event...ice cream in the gutters!

Now, I had a bit of fun with the kiddos in the days leading up to the ice cream.  They were very curious about the gutters and how this whole thing worked.  Here is the sundae in the making.  As you can see it takes a lot of adults to serve a sundae of this proportion!

The Lily Pad had several visitors over the past few weeks.  We had two pair of East High Anatomy Students teach us about 2 different systems in the body: the digestive system and the integumentary system.  3 of the 4 seniors were once 3rd grade students of mine (and Lizzie's sister, Maggie, was one of our guest speakers.)  They did a great job and we appreciated their time and energy!

We also had the second graders from Lapham come visit.  The third graders were their ambassadors and showed them around Marquette.  Many old friends were reunited!
Monday is a big day for us...the first performance of Queen Frog vs the Evil Chicken!  The performance is at 10:00!  We hope to see you at one of our performances!
