A Picture Perfect Day

The Lily Pad community lucked on with another perfect day for a field trip!  On Friday, we ventured out of the classroom and over to the Henry Vilas Zoo.  The students have been searching various animals, wondering if their animal would be a good fit for the zoo.  They were able to take their thoughts and questions outside of the classroom and see for themselves what zoos do to create habitats for the animals they house.  It was interesting to see and hear thoughts and observations as the students looked at the zoo through a different lens.  Unfortunately, we were a day too early to see the new Arctic Passage but hopefully many of you will head over to the zoo this summer and see it.

After our time at the zoo, we headed over to my house for lunch and of course...The World's Biggest Sundae!  A fantastic time was had by all, students and adults!
