Short Week = Short Post

While the students only had school for 3 days this week, we still had a lot going on at Marquette.  Tuesday was our fall Open House and it was fun to have so many families join us.  This is a busy time of year so thank you for taking time out of your schedules to visit the classroom.

Be a Buddy not a Bully

Students at Marquette took a pledge to be a Buddy not a Bully this week.  Mrs. Buan, an instructional resource teacher, came into classrooms to collect the pledge and hand out bracelets. Our school also wore orange on Tuesday as a show of support for anti-bullying.

 The Barber of Seville

Students were treated to a performance of the Barber of Seville by the group Opera for the Young.  We even had some of our own performing as a part of the cast!

Fall Conference Reminder

Just a reminder that fall conferences are just around the corner.  If you did not sign-up for a conference at Open House, I placed a schedule of available times in your child's mailbox.  Please select the times you are available and return to school ASAP.  As always, if the times do not fit your availability, I am happy to work with you to set a time that does work.

Thanks and have a great week.
