Running for a Cause

We had a great day for the Marquette Mile!  Students began the run/walk with some stretching in the cafeteria and then class by class headed out to complete the mile.  The our path was brightened by the peak fall colors.

It was with great excitement and enthusiasm that we began our Rocks and Minerals investigations!  Our student geologists are beginning their work with exploring mock rocks.  A mock rock is a model rock that students use to examine, describe and take apart.  Our goal is to determine what minerals are contained in these rocks.

Math Fact Practice
By now, all students have been given 10 to 20 math facts to practice at home.  We will be checking fact fluency every few weeks and would appreciate students practicing at home (as well as at school during our fluency times.)  If you have questions about this, please let me know.
