Piles and Piles of shirts!
The students were excited to get their t-shirts and we put them on right away. We had fun showing off our classroom spirit...especially in the Chicken Coop! I will schedule community days for students to wear their Lily Pad t-shirts. Look for a schedule to come home.
Phys-edible Day!
Four boys approached Ms. Miller with an idea to collect Phys-edible wrappers. Phys-edibles are a baked cracker that are sometimes a part of the school lunch. The wrappers are worth "dollars" and the boys want to collect enough wrappers to be able to supply some new equipment for the gym. This collection will happen all year. We will keep you posted on our progress.
MAPS testing
This is the first year that all grade levels at Marquette are taking the MAPS testing. The tests are taken at a computer station. Last Friday was the students' first day. We will be testing this week on Tuesday morning and Friday morning. Due to the change in our schedule resulting from this testing and to all the wonderful and unique opportunities we have been privileged to be a part of over the past few weeks, we are postponing our Willy Street Walk. We are feeling like we need to spend more time at our homebase!
Marquette Mile
Just a reminder that Wednesday is the Marquette Mile. If you signed up to volunteer you should have received a notice from the coordinator via backpack mail. It looks to be a perfect fall day to walk or run the mile!
