Arrrrr, Pirates Invade the Lily Pad!

Arrrrr, Ahoy Maties, what happened to the teachers?  They've been over run by pirates! Black Skull Bonnie subbed for good 'ole Ms. Mack.

Here was our schedule for the day.

Maties spent the math block solving pirate number stories, working on their pirate math facts (all good pirates need to know math in order to count their loot!

First Mate, Blind Eye Bart was helping our students during math.

Captain Black Skull Bonny taught all the kids a pirate song called I'm a Pirate. Check the video for the pirate chorus.

All the pirates in training wrote pirate poems.  Some students wrote Pirate Acrostics while others wrote Recipes for a Pirate.

All in all it was a fun day on the S.S. Lily Pad.  The pirates left for the day and no one had to walk the plank!  Arrrrrg! Ahoy, Maties!

Other News....
Here is information about what we need for the pancake breakfast on September 30th.  A sheet will come home in yellow folders tomorrow. Fill out the sheet and return in to Marquette ASAP.
