Hey All,
We have almost made it through week 2 and it's been quite a week! We have been establishing routines, began our writer's and reader's workshop and have been assessing math. The students have been great and are all working really hard! I gave our first bit of homework on Wednesday. It was a writing assignment and it is due on Friday. As I stated in my letter to you all last week, the third grade teaching team has agreed to give homework on Monday and Wednesday and it is due back at school on Friday. The other days can be used to read, work on math facts and/or write in a journal. Reading minutes can be recorded on the September reading calendar and returned to school at the end of the month. Ms. Miller and I have been busy with RSG conferences and have enjoyed meeting with all of you and the students. We look forward to meeting with each of you over the next several weeks.
